Clean Old Stain From Carpet

Blot with a clean dry towel to help lift more of the stain. Liberally spray the stained area with the solution of water and vinegar. Mix one teaspoon of dish soap with a half a cup of hydrogen peroxide. Spray liberally spray product to saturate the carpet area rug.

Use a clean cloth to apply this solution to the stain from the edges inward. In a spray bottle mix the vinegar and water. Pour the solution over the baking soda. Next blot the area dry with a clean dry cloth or paper towel.

Then let it sit for 10 minutes to allow product to penetrate the problem area. Blot blot up the stained area with a clean colorfast sponge or cloth. Place five to eight paper towels on top of the stain and weight it down with a heavy item. Using a new cloth dab this cleaning solution onto the old coffee stain to help break down the stickiness of the cream and sugar.

Sprinkle a handful of baking soda over the stain. If there is still a stain present then repeat the above steps. Then vacuum area after product has completely dried. To rid your carpet of foul smells first blot any strongly affected spots with a damp cloth.

Use a bowl of clean warm water to dip a cloth in and begin to flush the cleaner out of the carpet by blotting it up with a the damp cloth. Cover the stain with a clean towel and let sit for 24 hours. Blot up as much liquid as possible with a towel and allow the carpet to air dry the rest of the way. Use a dry towel or paper towel to blot up as much moisture as you can from the carpet.

To remove carpet stains. Vacuum the baking soda crumbs from the carpet. Combine two cups of warm water with one tablespoon of washing up liquid and one tablespoon of white vinegar. Sprinkle enough baking soda over the stain to thinly coat the area.

Using paper towels or a clean dry cloth soak up the excess liquid from the carpet. According to good housekeeping this helps soak the stain from the carpet. Rinse thoroughly with clean hot water. Make use of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide and then thoroughly mix the mixture.

A mixture of hydrogen peroxide and dish soap can also prove useful when it comes to getting old dog urine stains and smell out of carpet. Simply blot the spot dry working from the outside in.
